Last year we were faced with a very difficult transition decision which took us quite some time to figure out. The former brokerage that we operated out of closed their branch office in our area when the market shifted thus we were faced with change. After interviewing painstakingly with half of dozen of our area's top brokerages we saw how the opportunity at Prudential Shimmering Sands rose to the top and became the obvious place for us to go. Although we did interview with our area's top brokerages we saw that the opportunity to succeed in the business was most available to all agents at Prudential Shimmering Sands whereas some of the other companies though turning good numbers as a brokerage had few participating in those strong numbers. At Prudential literally dozens of agents were succeeding in their career in a market that had become difficult to succeed in. The systematic classroom instruction covering all aspect of our business with "real live" people not just internet based curriculum contributes to the success of each agent. The availability of a broker during or after hours who actually answered a phone call right away or immediately returned your phone calls professionally with competence and politely was something quite refreshing for us especially as we continued to learn. The fair policies in handling in house lead opportunities whether they come by calls off signs (and we have the most) or whether they are internet based or after hour calls filtered to the floor agent scheduled not to a select few but to all enticed our interest and increased our opportunities to connect buyers and sellers so that we could succeed. The cooperative financial assistance the brokerage offers for ongoing educational distinctions, for advertising for farming makes it possible for us to do far more than we could if those incentives were not on place. The professional administrative staff is well trained and gives us the piece of mind that we have a team behind us making sure we can deliver the best possible services to our customers the staff also gives us the piece of mind that we are compliant with all our paperwork before the state that each agent is properly activated and is up to date with ongoing maintenance of his or her license. Our offices are state of the art, centrally located and best of all "free" with regard to office space to the agents which assist us with the ability to build our business. All the above would not be as great as it is if it were not complimented by the team spirit we all share; agents, brokers and staff. No locked doors or drawers are necessary for I can honestly say that there is camaraderie between the agents rather than the shameful cut throat attitude that makes work both productive and at the same time fun and something to look forward to. While difficult decisions are difficult especially at first in hindsight things have a way of becoming more clear after all the second guessing passes.
